Push and Pull Forces of Motion

We started a short unit on Forces of Motion today!  The students enjoyed making predictions and experimenting with Newton's cradle.  We talked a lot about things we can push and pull at home and at school (dresser drawers, lawn mowers, vacuum cleaners, chairs, wagons, etc.).  They also explored questions such as "What makes things move?" and "Why do things move?" by using stomp rockets and having a shuttle board competition.  It certainly was a fun way to end such a busy week!
